Upon arrival in Errachidia (airport or hotel pick-up), begin your journey south toward the Sahara Desert. Drive through the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and traditional ksour. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and desert landscapes. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy dinner and overnight in a desert lodge near the dunes.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day Sahara experience. Explore the Erg Chebbi dunes by 4×4, visiting nomadic families, Gnawa villages, seasonal desert lakes, and fossil areas. Return to the lodge for lunch (optional). In the late afternoon, start your camel trek across the golden dunes, enjoying a breathtaking sunset. Arrive at a luxury desert camp for dinner, Berber music around the campfire, stargazing, and sandboarding. Overnight in a luxury Sahara camp.
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 and depart toward Rissani, the historic trading center and birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, with a visit to its traditional market if time allows. Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges, with free time to walk between the towering canyon walls. In the afternoon, drive toward the scenic Dades Valley, stopping at panoramic viewpoints and the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley.
After breakfast, travel through the Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis, dotted with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location. After visiting the ksar, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
